Cold Steel's revival of a classic hunting pattern, built for people who actually dress game rather than photograph knives.
The 3⅝-inch hollow-ground clip point is made from AUS-10A — a Japanese stainless that holds a keen edge, resists corrosion well, and, importantly for a hunting knife, sharpens easily in the field without a workshop full of stones.
The hollow grind is the right choice for skinning: it keeps the edge thin behind the bevel so the blade slips through hide rather than dragging. Brown Micarta scales warm to the hand in cold weather and grip better as they get wet, which cannot be said for polished wood or steel.
The Tri-Ad lock gives fixed-blade confidence in a folder — the design that made Cold Steel's reputation for lock strength.
