The Recon M1 is the hard-use end of Cold Steel's folding range, and this version runs a 4-inch clip point blade in CPM MagnaCut with a satin finish.
MagnaCut is the steel that changed the conversation. Developed by metallurgist Larrin Thomas, it delivers edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance at the same time, instead of trading one off against the others the way conventional stainless steels do. In practical terms: it holds an edge like a premium powder steel and shrugs off moisture like a marine blade.
Textured black G-10 scales over a slim profile give a working grip in wet or gloved hands, with a deep forward finger cutout for control on heavy cuts. Thumb stud opening, pocket clip.
