The Tenacious, taken considerably upmarket — and the most visually striking knife in this shipment.
This version replaces the usual G-10 and liner lock with a solid titanium handle and a Reeve Integral Lock, the frame lock design Chris Reeve introduced, where a machined portion of the handle itself springs behind the blade tang. Fewer parts, more strength.
The titanium is flame anodised into a marbled swirl of deep blue, teal and violet, shot through with pale cream veining. Anodised colour comes from oxide layer thickness rather than pigment, so the pattern forms differently on every single scale. No two of these knives are the same, and the one you receive will not match any photograph.
The 3.35-inch leaf blade is D2 tool steel: a high-carbon, high-chromium semi-stainless that holds an edge substantially longer than the 8Cr13MoV in the standard Tenacious. It asks for a little more care in wet conditions and more patience on the stones in exchange.
