Electronic muffs solve the problem passive muffs create. With passives you are protected but deaf to everything — the range officer, your group, a buck moving through the bush. These amplify ambient sound through microphones so you hear normally, then cut the gain the instant a shot goes off.
The Razor's low-profile cups are the reason this shape became a range standard: they sit close enough to the head that a rifle stock does not knock them out of position when you mount the gun.
Folding wire arms collapse the cups for a range bag.
