The Manix 2 is Spyderco's full-size workhorse folder, and this is the Salt Series version — built specifically for use in and around water.
The 3.37-inch blade is CPM MagnaCut, the powder steel engineered to deliver edge retention, toughness and corrosion resistance simultaneously rather than trading them off. For a coastal or fishing knife that combination matters more than raw hardness: this blade will not pit after a day on the boat, and it still holds a working edge through a session of cutting line and processing fish.
The G-10 scales are laid up in alternating black and pale yellow stripes, cut through the layers so the pattern is in the material rather than printed on it. High visibility is the point — a dropped knife on a deck or in the shallows is findable.
The Ball Bearing Lock is fully ambidextrous and can be operated without putting a finger anywhere near the blade path.
