The Tenacious earned its following the honest way: proper full-flat grind, useful mid-size blade, comfortable ergonomics, and a price that makes it easy to actually use rather than baby. If someone wants their first real Spyderco, this is usually the answer.
The 3.39-inch leaf-shaped blade is 8Cr13MoV stainless, which sharpens quickly and easily — an underrated virtue in a working knife. The black coating adds a little corrosion resistance and keeps the blade from flashing in the sun, which matters more to hunters than most people admit.
Textured OD green G-10 scales over skeletonised steel liners, secured by a liner lock, with the Trademark Round Hole for one-handed opening with either hand.
