Browning Backroad — 375 Lumen Rechargeable Headlamp

A good headlamp is one of the most useful pieces of kit you can own, and the Browning Backroad is a well-thought-out rechargeable one. It leaves both hands free for setting up camp, dressing game, changing a tyre at night or working under the bonnet.

It has two separate beam types: wide-angle high and low modes that flood the area right in front of you, and long-distance high and turbo modes that reach out to 75 m, with a maximum of 375 lumens. Last Light memory remembers your last mode, QuickOff turns it off instantly, and an electronic lock-out stops it switching on in your bag.

The built-in lithium battery charges over USB-C, with a battery and charge indicator so you know when to top up. A comfortable nylon strap, water and impact resistance round it out.
