SIG Sauer Validus — M390 Flipper, Liner Lock
SIG Sauer is best known for its firearms, and its knife range — made in partnership with Eikonic — is built with the same duty-use mindset. The Validus is the flagship: a large, robust flipper designed to be carried every day by people who might actually need it.
The 3.78-inch modified tanto blade is M390, Böhler's premium powder-metallurgy stainless steel. It is one of the best all-round knife steels available, combining outstanding edge retention with excellent corrosion resistance, so it stays sharp through long working days and shrugs off sweat and humidity.
A liner lock with PVD-coated stainless liners holds the blade, and the anodised aluminium backspacer ends in a built-in glass breaker — a genuinely useful tool in a vehicle emergency. The tip-up stainless clip keeps it secure in the pocket.
Two versions: black G-10 with a black PVD, partially serrated blade; or black Micarta with a plain-edge dark acid stonewash and satin blade.
